United Sweepstakes Gives Away Free Flights for a Year

United Airlines just launched an incredible giveaway that’s a must-enter for anyone who likes to travel. Their new “Your Shot to Fly” sweepstakes is giving away 30 pairs of roundtrip tickets to anywhere that United flies (in any class of service), throughout the month of June.

Even better, five entrants will be selected to win the grand prize—free travel for a year for the winner and a companion, in any class of service (including first-class), anywhere in the world that United flies. (The year’s worth of flights includes 26 roundtrip flights to be used within a year.)

To enter, you’ll need to be a MileagePlus member. This is United’s loyalty program, and it’s free to join if you’re not already signed up. You’ll also need to be vaccinated against COVID-19, and be willing to upload your vaccination record as proof.

Any MileagePlus member aged 18 years or older, who uploads their vaccination records to their loyalty account through United’s mobile app or their website between now and June 22 will automatically be entered into the sweepstakes. Grand prize winners will be announced on July 1.

Even if you’ve already uploaded your vaccination card to United’s Travel-Ready Center for a flight, you still need to upload it to your MileagePlus account to enter the sweepstakes. Login to your MileagePlus account, then click “my account” and “travel documents”. Under “travel documents” there is a dropdown option to upload your COVID-19 vaccination records and enter the sweepstakes. You’ll also need to manually enter your personal information, as well as dates and providers of your vaccinations.

Make sure that your MileagePlus contact information is up to date, as that is what United will use to contact winners.
