Having just recently visited beautiful Basel, I can vouch that the city has a lot to offer for visitors. Stroll along the Rhine, visit the Tinguely Museum or catch a game at St. Jakob-Park home to local soccer club FC Basel. When you've exhausted all there is to do in Basel, day trips to Lucern, Colmar, and other destinations in nearby France or throughout Switzerland are easy to reach by train.

Searching on British Airways, I found seats departing LAX on Tuesday, November 27 and returning from BSL on Tuesday, December 4, 2018. Perfect timing for a quick trip to the Swiss Christmas markets to pick up some unique gifts.
