It’s almost time for summer vacations and long weekend holidays like Memorial Day and 4th of July.  From beach days to picnics, make sure you’re prepared for whatever summer brings your way.

Don’t Forget These Items

Below are some of my go-to items for summer weekend getaways. What are your weekend essentials?  Let us know in the comments.

BAOSHA Canvas PU Leather Travel Tote Duffel Bag

For any weekend trip, you're going to need a roomy duffel or weekender to hold all of your items. My top pick is this canvas bag from BAOSHA. The bag is pretty affordable, and the canvas around the bag is extremely durable. The bag also has a detachable shoulder strap for when it’s too heavy to carry by the handles.
Amazon User Review:Great product. The bag was everything that I expected. Highly recommend.

Amazonbasics Classic Backpack - Black

You’ll want to bring a backpack as well to keep your laptop and other devices at arm's length without taking up space in your duffel or carry-on bag. The Amazon Basics backpack is everything you’re going to need for your trip. It has a one front pocket for easy access to keys and wallet. It also has two side pockets perfect for a refillable water bottle and a nice interior area to hold your computer or books.
Amazon User Review:It is a really lightweight and large backpack. I can put a 13-inch laptop, iPad, lunch box and a lot of other stuff inside."

Kenley Wine Purse Tote Bag with Hidden Dispenser

It’s going to be rosé season, so you’re going to need a way to transport it on weekend trips. This tote bag from Kenley comes with three pouches for holding your beverages. One thing to note is the dispenser isn’t hidden so you might want to turn your bag around or only use when you plan on carrying beverages.
Amazon User Review:Bought one for a friend and one for my Aunt! They love it, and it works great!!!

Banana Boat Sports Sunscreen Travel Packs

This travel pack comes with twenty-four travel sized sachets of sunscreen. I would suggest keeping a few in your summer travel bag and backpack just in case you forget your larger sunscreen or have it taken away in the TSA line (I’ve been there before).
Amazon User Review:Perfect for traveling!

HYDAWAY Collapsible Pocket-sized Travel Water Bottle

Make sure to pack a reusable water bottle in your backpack. With the warm temperatures, you’re going to want to stay hydrated. I recommend a collapsible bottle like this one from HYDAWAY. The bottle collapsed down to about one inch when not in use.
Amazon User Review:It is collapsible and occupies less room in my backpack.

Adrinfly Floppy Sun Hat Foldable Wide Brim

Sunscreen is probably the best way to protect you from the sun, but you’re also going to want to get a nice sun hat. This hat from Adrinfly is great as it blocks out all the sun without forfeiting style. Guys, we’ve got you covered as well with this hat from Tough Headware.
Amazon User Review:Pretty nice sun hat for the price, you will probably have to iron it out after you get it but it fits well and has a big brim.

BAGAIL Inverse Umbrella

Never travel during the summer without an umbrella. If you’re up for breaking away from the traditional umbrella—try this inverse one from BAGAIL. When you close it, you’ll avoid getting drenched, and the umbrella can stand on it’s on to dry. It also has a c-shaped handle, allowing hands-free use while walking around.
Amazon User Review:I love this umbrella. I do not get wet at all. Love the colors.
