People have a lot of gripes about basic economy, but these stripped down fares can really save the day when it comes to last minute trips.

Seen here, we found last minute seats from Chicago to Houston for just $93 round-trip on American, departing as soon as today, March 12, and returning from IAH on Friday, March 16. The economy fare for these dates comes out to $514 round-trip! Quite a difference.

If leaving today just isn't possible, you'll find plenty of other dates available through August.
