This one sounds pretty obvious, but not everyone keeps a collar on their dog—while traveling you’ll want to do so! Make sure the collar has some identification and contact information. #4 Dog Leash

#5 Foldable Dog Bowls
Bringing a regular dog bowl may take up unnecessary space in your suitcase. Instead, opt for a foldable one that is easily stored and can fit in your backpack in case your dog gets thirsty while exploring with you. We like this one from Mr. Peanut.
#6 Dog Waste Bags
Don't let your dog leave unwanted gifts all over the new city you're exploring. Make sure you’re stocked up on waste bags every time you take your dog for a walk. These from Downtown Pet Supply are cheap and can clip onto your bag.
#7 Microchips
This is essential whether or not you plan to travel with your dog. You can purchase a microchip online and then make an appointment with your vet to have it administered to your dog.
