I realize this has nothing to do with airfares, but it is about air travel. About half the time that I visit an airplane lav, such as my recent trip to London on a Virgin Atlantic A340, someone has shut off the fresh air nozzle. I've asked flight attendants why someone would do this, and they've told me they've noticed the same thing but have no clue. So I'm asking: have you ever shut off an airplane lavatory fresh air valve and if so why? Seems like it would be the very last place you'd want to do that, right? Was the air stream messing up your hairdo? Blowing in your face too hard? Making too much noise? Was the lav just too cold? Just wondering.
