There’s a new low-cost option for flights to Europe from the United States. Budget carrier PLAY was started in Iceland in 2019 by two former WOW air executives, and is now expanding into the United States.
PLAY has announced service from the United States to 25 European destinations, including Amsterdam, Barcelona, Copenhagen, Paris, Prague, and Reykjavik. Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) will be PLAY’s main hubs in the United States.
These new routes will begin running from BWI on April 20, 2022 and from BOS on May 11, 2022. Tickets will be available to book starting today on flyplay.com.
To launch the new service, PLAY is offering $109 flights from BOS and BWI to 11 European destinations, including Berlin, Brussels, Copenhagen, Göteborg, Keflavik, London, Paris, Stavanger, Stuttgart, and Trondheim. All taxes and fees are included in the $109 price, making this a great deal for a nonstop flight to Europe.
Ticket prices include one personal item, and travelers can pay more if they want to add on a carry-on or checked bag. In-flight meals and assigned seats will also be available for an additional cost.
Want to surprise someone with a trip to Europe for the holidays? Gift cards are also available for the new airline.
