As an example, I found a flight departing Newark EWR on the inaugural flight, Thursday, October 29, stopping for the weekend in Auckland AKL, departing for Queenstown ZQN on Monday, November 2. After a week's stay in the adventure capital of the world, return from Queenstown ZQN to Newark EWR with just 1 stop on Monday, November 9, for $1,295 total for the entire trip. It looks like the stopover adds just $50 more in extra taxes. All in all, this is an excellent deal to explore 2 destinations in New Zealand.
