Get to South Africa on the cheap—and lickety split! Tickets from Washington, D.C., IAD to Johannesburg JNB are normally upwards of $1K, and those that are cheap have a day-plus travel itinerary—no thanks! Randomly picking dates, I found fares on this route from $755 roundtrip between March 4 and 18 with South African Airways, featuring manageable travel times of just under 17 hours on the departure and 18.5 hours on the return—a very doable itinerary for such a far-flung destination. Is 2020 the year you finally take that bucket-list safari trip?

Boston - Paris $310 Roundtrip on Level
Nonstop flights on the Boston BOS to Paris CDG route for spring travel are cheap, from as low as $310 roundtrip during ! Flying to Europe has been exceptionally affordable recently—even from the West Coast—but oftentimes those rates include stops. Not so on this itinerary. Check out new low-cost carrier, Level, if flying out of the airport it services, as flights tend to be cheaper and faster. In North America, find Level at Boston, Montreal, New York City, Las Vegas, and San Francisco. In Europe, beside the aforementioned Paris, the European airline serves Amsterdam, Rome, Hamburg, London, Barcelona, Vienna; plus further abroad, Buenos Aires, Santiago de Chile, Guadeloupe, and Martinique.

Austin - Miami $88 Roundtrip on Frontier
Put the spring back in your step with a quick trip to sunny Miami! I found two-day trips on the Austin AUS to Miami MIA route for mid-May travel with Frontier from as low as $88 roundtrip. This is a new route for Frontier, which it has scheduled to launch on April 23. Portland - New York City $197 Roundtrip on Alaska
Flight availability for under $200 is plentiful on the Portland PDX New York City JFK route—and on nonstop itineraries! I found fares for $197 roundtrip all throughout the 2020 winter and into spring. The reverse direction costs the same amount. Minneapolis - Denver $39 Roundtrip on Frontier
This is the cheapest airfare I've seen in a long time! Roundtrip travel (including all taxes and feed, of course!) from Minneapolis MSP to Denver DEN is readily available with Frontier from $39 roundtrip this winter. The incredibly cheap $39 roundtrip rates were spotted good for travel anytime from early January through early March.
