Baggage
Alaska's Saver fares include a carry-on bag plus one personal item. The first checked piece of luggage will cost $30 each-way. On Southwest operated flights, two free checked bags are included.
Seat Assignments
Limited advanced seat assignments are included with Alaska's Saver fares. Southwest has an open seating policy, which means there are no assigned seats, and you'll get to choose your place during boarding.
Alternate Fares
Alaska's Main fares are usually around $20-$40 more each way and include a wider selection of seats to choose from and allow ticket changes/upgrades for a fee. Checked bag fees are the same $30 each way.
Make sure to compare with other airlines, such as Delta or American. In many instances, these carriers will price match this sale and may offer better flight times or expanded travel dates.
