We're seeing some excellent price drops on United today. Several routes around the country have dipped into the low $100s roundtrip. And we even spotted fares starting at $97 roundtrip on routes where we don't normally see fares this low.
In particular, there are some great fares to/from Dallas (DFW), Charlotte (CLT), and Seattle (SEA). Plus, a few cities in California and throughout the U.S. American is matching prices along some of these routes, but most of today's bigger price drops are available on United only.
Update August 1, 2019: These fares have stuck around and we're seeing a few more routes added today. Flights to/from Seattle dropped another $20 today. This is usually an indication that these low fares are on their way out so book quickly!

Baggage
These are Basic Economy fares. On United, this only includes one small personal item. A full-size carry-on bag is not allowed on United. On American, Basic Economy includes a carry-on bag plus a small personal item. A checked bag costs $30 each way on either airline.
Seat Assignments
Seats will be assigned at random upon check-in for these prices. You may pay a fee to choose a seat or choose to upgrade to the standard Economy fare.
Alternate Fares
On some routes, it's around $70 more roundtrip for an upgrade to a standard Economy fare. On others, it could be hundreds of dollars more, so it may not be worth it. This type of fare will include a full-size carry-on bag on United. It will also include advanced seat selection and allow for ticket changes/upgrades on both American and United. A checked bag is the same $30 fee each way.
