American Airlines is having another super sale to Germany. Flights from several U.S. cities to both Munich (MUC) and Frankfurt (FRA) are marked down hundreds of dollars for travel this fall, winter, and next spring. Fares are as low as $290 roundtrip.
Travel Availability
You'll have the easiest time finding these fares for travel on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, from late October through early April. A few routes may be available for travel on other days of the week as well or may have only slightly higher fares.
If you're lucky, you might be able to find a few similar prices in September overlapping with Oktoberfest which is from September 21 to October 6 this year. Most routes will have much higher prices around these dates, but I found that if you're able to route on British Airways, you can find some similar fares available from a few select cities.
Peak holiday travel times are blacked out and a Saturday night stay is required.
Sale Period
This sale is unadvertised and fares may jump at any moment. Try many different sites if you are finding prices jumping as inventory is going quickly and may still be available on another booking engine.

Alternate Fares
Depending on your routing, fares might also be available on British Airways or Iberia for slightly more but will allow for a broader range of travel dates. Upgrading to Main Cabin Economy will cost an additional $140 on most routes. This type of fare will include one free checked bag, seat selection, and are eligible for upgrades.
