New York – Milan $470 Roundtrip on Emirates

In honor of Memorial Day Emirates Airlines is having a sale to destinations across its global network, flights to Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia are all seeing some sweet price drops by the Dubai-based carrier. One of the best fare deals out of the bunch is this nonstop fare from New York-JFK to Milan, Italy for $470 roundtrip. While other airlines are charging $60 each way for a bag to Europe, you’ll have one included when flying with Emirates making this a perfect choice for passengers looking to pick up some fashionable Italian items on their trip. As an example, I found tickets at this price departing JFK on Sunday, September 29, and returning from MXP on Monday, October 7, 2019. Peak summer and holiday travel blacked out.

Denver – Atlanta $106 Roundtrip on Southwest

We had another rare week with Southwest Airlines skipping a weekly sale, but that doesn’t mean the carrier has stopped offering some great fare deals. Here's one, for example, fly nonstop from Denver to Atlanta for $106 roundtrip starting in early August through October. Departure days will vary by week, but for the most part, you'll have the best luck searching for seats on midweek departure days like Tuesday and Wednesday. On Southwest’s site, the only place you can purchase tickets directly, I found seats departing DEN on Wednesday, September 18, and returning from ATL on Tuesday, September 24, 2019.

Chicago – Sao Paulo $539 Roundtrip on Delta

When airlines begin to battle each other on routes and a good old-fashioned fare war takes place, that means one-thing – great fares for flyers. This week Delta and United are in a little spat over flights to Brazil with tickets dropping several hundred dollars below average pricing. While these wars don’t often last long, we’re hoping these deals like this one from Chicago-ORD to Sao Paulo for $539 roundtrip stick around over the long weekend. Departure days will vary by month, but you'll be able to find fares at this price starting in late August through November and then again during a few weeks in February and March 2020. Which happens to be perfect for a trip to Carnaval 2020. Searching for dates over the festivities I found a fare departing ORD on Wednesday, February 19 and returning from GRU on Friday, March 6, 2020. Let the party begin!

Los Angeles – Quito $382 Roundtrip on Copa Airlines
