New York – Montevideo $588 Roundtrip on LATAM

Visit one of South America’s best-kept secrets. While Brazil and Argentina are the two top draws on the continent, sandwiched between you’ll find alluring Uruguay. Fly from New York-JFK to the country’s capital of Montevideo for $588 roundtrip on LATAM through early December. From Montevideo its an easy trip to stylish Punta Del Este on the country's Atlantic seaboard for some sun and sand. Searching on LATAM, I found seats departing JFK on Wednesday, November 20 and returning from MVD on Saturday, November 30, 2019. A great time of year to visit and over the Thanksgiving break. A Saturday night stay is required. Peak summer travel mostly sold out in July.

Boston – London $371 Roundtrip on Virgin Atlantic, Delta, British Airways

With heavy competition on this route flights to London from Boston can dip pretty low from time to time. This fare for $371 roundtrip is a great deal mostly due to its wide-open availability, with dates in late August even bookable at this price point. Unfortunately, they book into basic economy meaning only carry-on baggage is allowed, but you'll be hard pressed to find a better offer during August or September. As an example, I found tickets at this price leaving BOS on Wednesday, August 14, and returning from LHR on Thursday, August 22, 2019. Departures can be found through May with returns into mid-June then again from mid-August through early 2020.

Seattle – Anchorage $154 Roundtrip on Delta

Available for peak summer travel in June and August, fly from Seattle up to Anchorage for $154 roundtrip. If you're lucky you might even find some availability in July, but for the most part, this fare is available daily starting on May 23 through August 25, 2019 – the best time of year to cruise the Alaskan coastline whale watching. Searching Delta, I found seats leaving SEA on Wednesday, August 14 with a return leg from ANC departing on Monday, August 19, 2019.

Philadelphia – Melbourne, FL $161 Roundtrip on American

The 2019 baseball season just started up, so let's have a look at the MLB – Melbourne, Florida that is. Flights from Philadelphia to MLB are available on American for only $161 roundtrip. Spring and summer flights are available, but on scattered dates, you'll have the best luck finding this fare from September onward. For added availability, Delta is matching but at $3 more on many dates. This is an excellent fare to escape the northeast for when winter weather begins to bluster over. Availability into January and February make this a route to keep an eye on. For example, I found tickets departing PHL on Saturday, December 7 and returning from MLB on Wednesday, December 11, 2019.

Los Angeles – Los Cabos $188 Roundtrip on American or Alaska

Fly down the coast to Baja and visit San Jose del Cabo, Mexico for $188 roundtrip on Alaska or American Airlines this fall. Flights at this price are available starting in late October through mid-November. The travel window might be small, but the savings are big. Seating is open for travel any day of the week but is mostly valid for midweek departures. On AA.com, I found tickets departing LAX on Sunday, October 27 and returning from SJD on Wednesday, November 6, 2019.

Portland, OR – Everett, WA $63 Roundtrip on Alaska

Be one of the first flyers to visit the brand new domestic terminal at Paine Field in Washington that opened up on March 4^th. To check out the new digs, fly from Portland, OR to Paine Field for $63 roundtrip this spring on Alaska. Travel is available on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturdays through June 12, 2019. On Alaska's site, I was able to find fares for this amount leaving PDX on Tuesday, May 7 with return flights from PAE available on Saturday, May 11, 2019.

Chicago – Boston $106 Roundtrip on Southwest

Fly nonstop from Chicago-Midway to Boston for $106 roundtrip this spring on Southwest. Tickets at this price are available on select Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays starting on May 4 through June 12, 2019. Spring is a perfect time in Boston to catch a game a historic Fenway Park or a stroll through the Common when the flowers begin to bloom. For example, I found seats departing MDW on Saturday, May 4 and returning from BOS on Wednesday, May 8, 2019. Tickets are selling out fast so head on over to Southwest's site soon.

Miami – Montego Bay $267 Roundtrip on American

With some of the highest airport taxes in the Caribbean, flights to Jamaica can get pretty pricey. So when we see a good deal like this one from Miami to Montego Bay for $267 roundtrip, we have to post it. Fares at this price are valid for travel starting in late April through May 24, 2019. Travel is available on most days; however, weekend dates are becoming scarce. I was able to find an itinerary at this price departing MIA on Tuesday, May 14 and returning from MBJ on Saturday, May 18, 2019. If you're flexible, you should be able to find something in May that will work with your travel plans.

Providence – Nashville $77 Roundtrip on Sun Country

Save your jukebox money for some real tunes in happening Nashville. Home to some of the best live music venues in the country those of you in little Rhody should definitely make the visit. Sun Country is here to help to the tune of $77 roundtrip for nonstop flights between Providence and Music City USA. Trips at this price are available on select days in April and through the end of May. Searching Sun Country, I found seats available departing PVD on Monday, May 6 and returning from BNA on Saturday, May 11, 2019.

Washington DC – Bangkok $619 Roundtrip on ANA and United

Fly on five-star ANA from Washington DC-IAD to Bangkok for $619 roundtrip this fall. Flights are available Monday through Thursdays in September through October with returns valid through early November. United might operate some flights, but if you are flexible with travel dates, you should be able to get ANA metal on most legs of your journey. For example, I found ANA flights departing IAH on Tuesday, September 10 and returning from BKK on Tuesday, September 17, 2019, at this price point.
