Here's a big price drop from NorCal to Texas. Fly from San Francisco to San Antonio for $105 roundtrip on American. Travel on scattered dates through mid-May, and more availability opens up from late August onward. I found seats available for a long weekend in late August departing San Francisco SFO on Friday, August 23, returning from San Antonio SAT on Monday, August 26. Of course, this price is for Basic Economy so your seats will be assigned at random upon check-in. If Basic Economy isn't for you, it's only $164 roundtrip for a Main Cabin ticket, which is still much lower than other airlines.

Newark - Baltimore $138 Roundtrip for Fall Travel

Southwest recently announced five new routes to its network for travel starting this fall. After a 5-year hiatus, the airline will bring back nonstop flights from Newark to Baltimore starting at $138 roundtrip. Currently, there aren't any nonstop flights between these two airports so this will be a welcome addition for those looking to jet down the Northeast Corridor or provide easy connections from Newark to Southwest's expansive network from Baltimore.

Nonstop service begins October 2, 2019, and the low intro fares are available for travel mostly on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in October. I found seats departing Newark EWR on Wednesday, October 23, returning from Baltimore BWI on Tuesday, October 29.
