Some are part of ongoing sales, and some are unadvertised price drops that may only last for a limited time. New York – London $360 Roundtrip on British Airways

While London-Heathrow (LHR) gets lots of attention from competing airlines, London-Gatwick is often overlooked when searching for flight deals. You’re missing out if you’re not including London’s second largest airport in your search. Take this deal on British Airways for example. Fly nonstop from New York-JFK to London-Gatwick for $360 roundtrip this spring or fall. Midweek flights are available April 20 through May 16, then again from October 1 through the end of booking calendar in February 2020. Peak summer and holiday dates blacked out. Searching, BA.com, I found seats departing JFK on Wednesday, November 20, and returning from LGW on Tuesday, November 26, 2019. Perfect for a Thanksgiving getaway. This fare books into the basic economy fare bucket, meaning only carry-on luggage is allowed at this price.

Miami – Recife $397 Roundtrip on LATAM Brazil

Here’s an incredible fare on some jets to Brazil. Fly from Miami to Recife for $397 roundtrip on LATAM this spring and summer. Trips at this price point are available on select dates starting in April through the end of August. In most cases, you should be able to find a nonstop flight on one leg of the journey, but the other will require a stopover in Fortaleza (FOR). Play around with your travel calendar and see what works best for your needs. I found tickets at this price, departing MIA on Monday, June 17, and returning from REC on Thursday, June 27, 2019.

Chicago – Nashville $98 Roundtrip on Southwest

Fly nonstop from Chicago-Midway to Nashville for $98 roundtrip this spring on Southwest. Tickets at this price are available on select Sunday, Tuesdays, and Thursdays starting on April 30 through June 11, 2019. Warm yourself up with some Nashville hot chicken this spring and get your two-step down on “Honky Tonk Row." For example, I found seats departing MDW on Thursday, May 30 and returning from BNA on Tuesday, June 4, 2019. Tickets are selling out fast so head on over to Southwest's site soon.

Los Angeles – Las Vegas $79 Roundtrip on Alaska

Skip driving through Death Valley and save your gas money with this fantastic fare from Alaska Airlines. Fly from Los Angeles to Las Vegas for just $79 roundtrip through November 13, 2019. Tickets at this price can be found on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays but other days of the week are scattered around too. This is an Alaska “saver” fare, which will only allow for a personal item and standard carry-on bag on board. Searching on Alaska's site, I was able to find seats at this price departing IAH on Saturday, September 7 and returning from LAS on Tuesday, September 10, 2019. Las Vegas might not be the best place to visit in July and August due to the heat, but peak summer travel is available at this price.

Houston – Sydney $640 Roundtrip on United

Want to fly on the sixth longest flight in the world? How about just a bucket list visit to Down Under? Either way, United has you sorted with the splendid deal to Sydney from its Houston-IAH hub for $640 roundtrip. Flights are available on select dates in the spring and fall. Your best bet for booking this fare is to search on Priceline as they’re pricing at about $40 less than the United website. On Priceline, I found inventory for this fare departing IAH on Monday, April 22 and returning from SYD on Monday, May 6 2019.

Washington DC – Stavanger $398 Roundtrip on SAS

SAS Scandinavian is having a superb sale to destinations all across Northern Europe with a focus on Scandinavian cities. While Oslo (OSL), Copenhagen (CPH), and Stockholm (ARN) are part of this sale smaller cities like Stavanger are seeing great fares too. Start off your Norwegian Fjord cruise by flying from Washington DC-Dulles to Stavanger for $398 roundtrip. Travel is available daily from late August through the end of the booking calendar in February 2020. As an example, I found tickets for this fare departing IAD on Friday, August 29 and returning from SVG on Thursday, August 29, 2019. A great time to visit when the weather is warm and the days are long.

Boston – New Orleans $194 Roundtrip on JetBlue

Mardi Gras might be over, but New Orleans is a destination worth visiting any time of the year. Especially in spring when Jazz Fest kicks off from April 26 through May 6 in 2019. Fly down nonstop for the event from Boston to NOLA for $194 roundtrip on JetBlue. Weekday travel is available starting in early April through May 17 on scattered dates. During the timeframe of the festival, I found tickets at this price departing BOS on Monday, April 29, and returning from MSY on Friday, May 3, 2019.

Oakland – Rome $430 Roundtrip on Norwegian

Here’s a fantastic nonstop flight deal from Norwegian, fly from Oakland to Rome for $430 roundtrip this spring. Flights are available Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays starting in mid-April through mid-May. One-way trips are only 169 dollars for the LowFare option departing OAK, returns from Italy cost a bit more. St. Louis – Portland $177 Roundtrip on Sun Country

Sun Country's Vacation Madness sale ends tonight so make sure to have a look what's being marked down from the expanding airline. Here's one of those new routes, fly nonstop from St. Louis to Portland, Oregon for $177 roundtrip. This price can be found for travel on Mondays and Fridays, throughout June, great for weekend trips. I saw seats departing STL on Friday, June 7, returning from PDX on Monday, June 10, 2019. Only one small personal item is included. Pay $30 each way for a carry-on or checked bag. Columbus – Seattle $144 Roundtrip on United

Seattle flights have been significantly reduced from many cities this past week, and those fares are still around for the time being. Many dates are sold out, but there is still some great last minute availability on flights from Columbus to Seattle for $144 roundtrip in April. Fares are available on select weekdays through April 17, 2019. As an example, I found tickets at this reduced rate departing CMH on Thursday, April 11, with returns from SEA on Monday, April 15, 2019. Best of all these book into regular economy, which allow for a standard sized carry-on bag and personal item, which is rare to see on United nowadays.
