Volaris is adding five new nonstop routes from the U.S. to Mexico this summer. Intro fares are as low as $209 roundtrip.
New Nonstop Flights from U.S. to Mexico on Volaris
The new routes are mostly to niche markets in Mexico but there is one new route to the popular beach resorts in Puerto Vallarta (PVR), which is a new move for the discount airline since most Volaris routes focus on flights to colonial cities within Mexico. Will we see more nonstop flights from the U.S. to Mexican beaches in the future?
New service begins in mid-June and flights are only operated 2-3 times per week on all routes. Intro fares are valid for travel in June and September/October, with July and August travel priced slightly higher.
Tickets must be booked by 11:59 pm PT, on February 25, 2019.

Volaris is a low-cost Mexican airline, which has a baggage policy that is similar to the major US airlines. Surprisingly, you are allowed to bring two full-size carry-on bags, but there is a weight limit of 22 lbs total between these two bags. If you think your carry-on bags look heavy enough to actually get weighed at the airport, you can purchase extra weight allowance for your carry-on bags starting at $24 each way. Checked bag fees start at $35 each way.
