Here's a fantastic fare from the official one, fly nonstop from Los Angeles to Rarotonga, in the Cook Islands for $597 roundtrip.
You'll need to be flexible with your travel dates as this service is only offered once per week. Flights depart LAX on Saturdays with return flights available on Fridays. Days will vary, but the Air New Zealand website has the following travel window listed: April 13 through November 30, with blackout dates between June 1 - 15, 2019. Tickets must be purchased by January 10, 2019.
As an example below, I found seats departing LAX on Saturday, May 4 and returning from RAR on Friday, May 10, 2019.
