Volaris is back with another "Flights on the Fly" flash sale. This sale is valid for travel in April 2019 and can be a great opportunity to score a cheap flight to Mexico or Central America for spring break. Fares are as low as $39 one-way or $122 roundtrip. Book now! This sale ends December 14, 2018, and seats are selling out quickly.
Volaris is a low-cost Mexican airline, which has a baggage policy that is similar to the major US airlines. Surprisingly, you are allowed to bring two full-size carry-on bags, but there is a weight limit of 22 lbs total between these two bags. If you think your carry-on bags look heavy enough to actually get weighed at the airport, you can purchase extra weight allowance for your carry-on bags starting at $24 each way. Checked bag fees start at $35 each way.
Travel is valid on select dates from April 1 through April 31, 2019. This is an advertised sale, but seats are selling out quickly and these prices may not last. Book now for a super cheap flight to Mexico, Costa Rica, El Salvador, or Guatemala.
The sale officially ends at 11:59 pm CT, on December 14, 2018.

This is not a complete list. Nearly all routes on Volaris have $39 or $55 one-way flights to Central America on a few scattered dates in April. One-way flights to Mexico are as low as $66 for non-residents or $39 if you are a Mexican passport holder. Return flights are priced slightly higher to get these roundtrip prices (including non-resident fee). You must be flexible with travel dates to get these prices.
Flights within Mexico are also on sale for $199 MXN pesos (~$10 USD) one-way, which could allow you to combine a few one-way flights and see a few different cities in Mexico at these ultra-low fares. And if you're in the San Diego area, make sure to check out flights from Tijuana (TIJ), which you can access directly from the U.S. side of the border via the Cross Border Xpress bridge.
These roundtrip prices include the $28 USD non-resident fee. Price will be about $28 less for Mexican passport holders or others exempt from this fee.
