Sure this great deal comes with a few strings attached. It's in United's Basic Economy fare bucket, so you'll only be allowed a small carry-on that can fit under the seat in front of you. If that's too restrictive, you can bump up to Standard Economy for $182 roundtrip, which is still a great deal. If you happen to have a United brand credit card, your first checked bag will be free. Now that United has upped its checked baggage fee to $30, it might be time to think about signing up for one that allows for free baggage.

Flights are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays starting in late September through the end of October. Searching on the United site, I found seats departing BWI on Saturday, October 6 and returning from LAX on Tuesday, October 9, 2018. Great for an extended Columbus Day long weekend.
