Some of these fares are a part of ongoing sales, and some are unadvertised that may only last for a limited time. If you are interested in any of these fares, we recommend you book soon to avoid a missed bargain.

Detroit – Puerto Vallarta $243 Roundtrip for Travel through May

Head south of the border on United Airlines. Fly from Detroit to Puerto Vallarta for $243 roundtrip starting in September through April 2019. Flights are available on scattered dates, and some itineraries require a long layover or two connections so make sure to search around for the flights that fit your travel plans best. On the United website, I found seats departing DTW on Tuesday, December 4, and returning from PVR on Wednesday, December 12, 2018. Fares are easier to find during the winter months.

Chicago – Tampa $117 Roundtrip for Travel through December

Fly nonstop from Chicago to Tampa for $117 roundtrip on American or United. Your best bet is to book on American as it is a standard economy fare while United has the restrictive basic economy fare class on these tickets. Flights are available on scattered dates from August through early December. Seats are easier to find in November and December, as an example I found seats departing ORD on Tuesday, November 17, and returning on December 1, 2018.

Cincinnati – Los Cabos $243 Roundtrip for travel through March

Here’s another deal to Mexico from United Airlines. Fly from Cincinnati to Los Cabos for $243 roundtrip through March. Flights are available daily, but you'll see the best availability from November onward. Some trips require a long layover so make sure to avoid those if they don't mesh with your travel plans. On United, I found seats departing CVG on Friday, January 4, and returning from SJD on Wednesday, January 9, 2018.

Burlington – San Francisco $294 Roundtrip for Travel through April

Fly from Burlington, Vermont to San Francisco for $294 roundtrip on Delta Air Lines. Flights at this price are available daily from late August through late April 2019. This is a good deal for these two city pairings, as Burlington flights don’t often go on sale. Searing on the Delta site, I was able to find departures at this price leaving BTV on Friday, January 18, and returning from SFO on Saturday, January 26, 2019.

New York– Oslo $310 Roundtrip for Travel through December

Icelandair has some great fares from the States to destinations in Europe. Here's one of those fares, fly from New York-JFK to Oslo, Norway for $310 roundtrip. Flights at this price start in October and are valid for departures through mid-December with returns in January also available. Searching on Icelandair, I found tickets available departing JFK on November 30 and returning from OSL on December 8, 2018. This fare is restricted to carry-on luggage only.

Boston– Antigua & Barbuda $313 Roundtrip for Travel through February

Fly from Boston to Antigua & Barbuda for $313 roundtrip on American Airlines. Flights at this price book into Basic Economy but you can upgrade to Main Cabin for only $50 more if you find that too restrictive for your travel needs. Flights are available daily starting in early September through the middle of February. On American, I found seats available departing BOS on Tuesday, September 18, and returning from ANU on Saturday, September 22, 2018. Be on the lookout for itineraries that require an airport change and avoid those.

Raleigh– San Diego $64 Roundtrip for Travel through October

Frontier Airlines is having another promo code sale offering up to 90% off base ticket prices. Here’s one of the better fares from that deal, fly from Raleigh to San Diego for only $64 roundtrip using promo code AUTUMN. Flights are only available on Wednesday for travel starting August 15 through October 3, 2018. On Frontier, I was able to find seats departing RDU on Wednesday, September 12, and returning from SAN on Wednesday, September 19, 2018.

Seattle– Cancun $234 Roundtrip for Year-Round Travel

I couldn’t resist, one more of those great Mexico fares. This time you can fly from Seattle to Cancun for $234 roundtrip on United. This fare is like the others and available daily, but this time around you can travel through the end of the schedule. Searching on United, I found seats departing SEA on Thursday, December 6, and returning on Friday, December 14, 2018.

Los Angeles– Boston $227 Roundtrip for travel through November

Here’s a good cross-country deal, fly nonstop from Los Angeles to Boston for $227 roundtrip, this autumn. Flights are available on several airlines, but JetBlue and Alaska will be your best options, as they don’t book into Basic Economy. Travel is valid on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays starting in mid-August through early November. As an example I found seats departing LAX on Saturday, September 15, and returning from BOS on Tuesday, September 18, 2018.

As an example I found seats departing DTW on December 1, and returning from MSY on Tuesday, December 4, 2018. Flights at this price book into Main Cabin, so you can pack that standard sized carry-on.
