Get a jump start on your holiday travel plans this winter. If you book now, you can fly nonstop from Milwaukee to New York for $234 roundtrip during peak New Year's travel dates on Southwest.
For example, I found seats departing Milwaukee MKE on Saturday, December 29, returning from New York LGA on Wednesday, January 2.
You'll find slightly lower fares for off-peak travel, but this is an excellent deal for these peak travel dates.
Plus, you won't have to worry about paying a change fee if your travel plans change. Although a fare difference may apply, Southwest does not charge any extra fee to change dates or, if you decide you can't make the trip at all, you can keep a credit up to 1-year from date of purchase to be used toward any Southwest flight.
The latest Southwest sale is advertised for travel through December 19, but in reality, fares are available through February 13, 2019, and that includes some Christmas and New Year's travel dates on certain routes.
