There are some great fares from United today, competing on Frontier routes the airline has matched or has dropped prices on these city pairings. Here’s a good example fly from Philadelphia to Austin for $126 roundtrip on United. Peak summer travel is available at this price; as an example, I found seats departing PHL on Wednesday, June 13, and returning from AUS on Monday, June 18, 2018.

Phoenix – Cancun $304 Roundtrip, Year Round Travel

Here’s another fantastic fare from United. Travel from Phoenix to Cancun for $304 roundtrip, year round. Seats are available daily starting next week through the end of the booking calendar, with no minimum stay required. Searching on United’s website, I found seats departing PHX on Saturday, July 21 and returning from CUN on Thursday, July 26, 2018.

Dallas – Chicago $111 Roundtrip, Travel August through November

Both American and United Airlines are offering cheap nonstop fares from Dallas to Chicago for $111 roundtrip this summer and fall. Unfortunately, this great fare comes with a catch; it's in Basic Economy, so a small backpack or purse is the only baggage included.  Flights are available most days of the week, but you’ll have the best luck on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturdays. On Google Flights, I found fares at this price departing DFW on Wednesday, August 15, and returning from ORD on Tuesday, August 21, 2018.

New York – Moscow $450 Roundtrip, Travel October through April

Fly from New York JFK to Moscow, Russia for $450 roundtrip on Swiss this fall or winter. Flights are available daily with a Sunday night stay required. Some itineraries may require a long layover in Switzerland, so make sure to double check the flight times to avoid those, unless you’d prefer to enjoy a quick visit along the way. Searching on the Swiss Air website, I found seats departing JFK on Friday, November 9, and returning from DME on Friday, November 23, 2018.

Buffalo – Phoenix $228 Roundtrip, Travel August through November

Head down to sunny Phoenix from Buffalo in late summer or fall with United Airlines for $228 roundtrip. Travel at this price on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Saturday, but other weekdays are only a few dollars more in some cases. This is another Basic Economy fare, so beware about luggage restrictions, for $50 more you can bump up to "Main Cabin" if you wish to take on a standard carry-on. I was able to find seats at this price departing BUF on Tuesday, October 23, and returning from PHX on Saturday, November 3, 2018.

Houston – Chiang Mai $695 Roundtrip, Travel August through April

Here’s a great fare that has stuck around from the Eva Air deals we posted last week. Fly from Houston to Chiang Mai, Thailand for $695 roundtrip on 5-star airline Eva Air. Flights at this price start popping up in late August and are valid through the end of booking schedule in April 2019. Flights depart Monday through Thursday, and I was able to find a sample itinerary departing IAH on Tuesday, August 21 and returning from CNX on Thursday, September 6, 2019.

Ft. Lauderdale – Cartagena $220 Roundtrip, Travel August through November

Travel from Ft. Lauderdale to Cartagena, Colombia for $220 roundtrip on Copa Airlines. Flights are available daily starting in late August through mid-November. Departures must take place before the end of October, with returns available in November. Searching on the Copa website, I found seats departing FLL on Tuesday, September 25 and returning from CTG on Sunday, September 30, 2018.

Chicago – Los Angeles $189 Roundtrip, Travel September and October

Here’s a great deal on a popular route, fly nonstop from Chicago ORD to Los Angeles for $189 roundtrip on United Airlines. Flights at this price can be found in September and into the first week of October. I was able to find seats departing ORD on Wednesday, September 5 and returning from LAX on Monday, September 10, 2018. Again, this fare is one of those Basic Economy fares; so make sure you pack lightly if you want to take advantage of this price drop. Regular economy is over a hundred dollars more, so I’d skip that offering. Stick with the Basic fare and pay to check a bag if needed.

Newark – Oslo $371 Roundtrip, Travel September through January

Here’s a nice sub $400 fare to Europe and not on one of those low-cost carriers. Fly from Newark to Oslo for $371 roundtrip on a combination of Swiss, SAS, and United. Flights are available departing EWR Sunday through Thursday, with returns open any day except Saturday. On the Swiss website, I found seats leaving EWR on Thursday, October 11 and returning from OSL on Sunday, October 21, 2018.

Seattle – Beijing $470 Roundtrip, Travel September through January

Delta Air Lines is offering nonstop flights from Seattle to Beijing, China for $470 roundtrip. Flights are available Monday through Thursday starting in September through January 2019. Spend some time in the Forbidden City or cross off hiking the Great Wall from your bucket list. Searching on Delta, I found seats departing SEA Tuesday, October 30 and returning from PEK on Wednesday, November 7, 2018.
