We're seeing some crazy low American fares to Germany and Switzerland from nearly every airport in the USA. Summer travel is available! Fares start at just $410 roundtrip.
Unfortunately, Delta and American hubs are mostly excluded from this particular sale, but other cities in Europe are popping up with great fares from certain cities, such as these great deals to Venice we mentioned earlier.
This is unadvertised and may not last very long. Book quickly if something catches your eye. Most third party booking sites have a 24-hour free cancellation policy so you'll have a day to figure out the details.
Update 3pm ET, May 24: It looks like these fares are gone and have now jumped to over $1000 roundtrip on most routes. You may find the low fares lingering on some third party booking sites, but your purchase may not go through. Sign up for fare alerts to find out about the next big price drop.
Availability is very limited for these fares. You may depart from the US starting in July, but your return flight from Europe must be between August 20 and September 6.
For the most part, travel is available to Europe Sundays through Thursdays, and returning from Europe Mondays through Fridays. However, you may find certain routes have some scattered weekend availability as well. A 7-night minimum stay is required.

Even if your favorite airport (small or large) isn't listed, there may be a big price drop. Other cities in these countries are likely lower than normal as well.
