Southwest Airlines has been quite busy this week with a few new announcements, firstly they extended their bookable flight schedule through November 3, 2018. With that update, it allowed the Dallas based carrier to add more flights with nonstop service to several new cities this Autumn. Below we have highlighted some of the new routes and increased schedule changes that will come into play in early October.
Beginning on October 3, 2018, Southwest will add daily nonstop service to:
Houston-Hobby to Columbus $220 round-trip, nonstop
Houston-Hobby to Louisville $196 round-trip, nonstop
Denver to Memphis $193 round-trip, nonstop
The carrier also added nonstop service on Sundays only beginning October 7, 2018:
Oklahoma City to Nashville $308 round-trip, nonstop
Denver to El Paso $190 round-trip
Southwest is also investing further in its operation at Phoenix Sky Harbor by adding more flights and frequencies to its more popular routes. On October 3, the carrier will add one additional flight Monday through Friday for the following cities:
Phoenix to Denver $90 round-trip, nonstop (increased from ten to eleven roundtrips)
Phoenix to San Antonio $90 round-trip, nonstop (increased from three to four roundtrips)
Phoenix to Austin $194 round-trip, nonstop (increased from four to five roundtrips)
Phoenix to New Orleans $334 round-trip, nonstop (increased from one to two roundtrips)
This week Southwest began its previously announced new nonstop service from:
Houston-Hobby to Milwaukee $186 round-trip, nonstop
San Diego to Puerto Vallarta $302 round-trip, nonstop (seasonal)
And new nonstop Saturday only service between:
San Jose to Cabo San Lucas $273 round-trip, nonstop
Sacramento to Cabo San Lucas $333 round-trip, nonstop
Indianapolis to Cancun $301 round-trip, nonstop (seasonal)
