We're seeing some considerable price drops for peak summer travel on American today.
Travel is valid on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from June 12 through August 1.
The travel period seems to match Southwest's Sale from earlier today, but we're seeing lower prices on American and more travel days. We see these prices often on these routes, but rarely for peak summer travel, so if you can only travel when the kids are out of school, have a look to see what's available. This is unadvertised and these prices may change at any time.
Fares include:
Washington D.C. to Columbus $117 round-trip, nonstop
Omaha to Chicago $139 round-trip, nonstop
New Orleans to Washington D.C. $145 round-trip, nonstop
Chicago to Austin $153 round-trip, nonstop
Kansas City to Dallas $167 round-trip, nonstop
Atlanta to Washington D.C. $173 round-trip, nonstop
Washington D.C. to Nashville $207 round-trip, nonstop
Dallas to St. Louis $223 round-trip, nonstop

Fares all work in the reverse direction as well. This seems to be valid on most competing markets with Southwest so check your city to see if prices are lower than normal for summer travel.
