Don’t see vacation as a time to totally let go of your fitness goals and routine—it’ll be harder to get back on the horse once you’re back home. We've put together a list of items that can help you stay fit on vacation without draining the fun. Let us know in the comments how you stay fit on your travels.
We’re not saying to buy a Fitbit just for traveling, but if you're thinking about buying one anyway, keep in mind that you can also use it when you travel. All Fitbits can track steps, and some can even track cycling. So before you book that bike tour through Amsterdam, you might want to get a Fitbit so you can track your workout. Amazon has a large variety of them, and you can also purchase them on the Fitbit site.
If you’re traveling to any large city in the U.S. or Canada, ClassPass lets you take studio classes on the go. Options include everything from barre to Zumba. You can easily change the city when traveling and take advantage of the classes offered in your visiting city. For a full list of eligible destinations, click here.
#3 BlenderBottle GoStak Twist n' Lock Storage Jars
These stackable bottles are great for bringing healthy snacks on the plane or in your daypack when you're walking around on vacation.
#4 HYDAWAY Collapsible Water Bottle
Whether you're walking around or working out, you’re going to need to stay hydrated. Just about any water bottle will work, but we really love these from HYDAWAY—they collapse and can easily be stored in your pocket or bag.
#5 Survival and Cross Jump Rope
A jump rope is perfect to pack in your suitcase while traveling. You can pull it out and do a quick workout just about anywhere. Try these workouts from Well + Good when you're on the go.
Like a jump rope, an ab wheel is easy to store and use on the road. And it’s only $10, so if you don’t end up ever using it you won’t feel too bad.
If you’re really serious about fitness, this is the kit for you. It comes with everything you’ll need to stay fit on the go including a jump rope, resistance tubes, and an ankle strap. Last time we checked it was almost sold out on Amazon.
